Karen Knight ( Yay you are here! )

The awesome Stencil Girl stencils I received were some  of the awesome Seth Apter Stencils! Got to say I love these, and they were so easy to use.. I used the Unfinished Stencil with a little bit of distress ink and mono printed the background of my tag! Sigh.. I love how this turned out!!

I then of course got to work with a little bit of pink rubber!! I stamped my images onto some manila card and fussy cut and inked the edges with walnut ink distress sign.. ( yet another sigh!!)
I then put these to one side and machine stitched around the edges of my tag!

I also stamped the  Be True saying stamp onto my tag with archival ink in jet black. Next came the fun part.. arranging all my stamped images and other chosen embellishments. Including some of the gorgeous new Button Mash from UmWow Studio! these just make me happy!

After a bit of  arranging and rearranging, adding in and taking out of bit and bobs.. this was how my tag turned out!

And of course we really can not go past a few close ups of some of these gorgeous elements! I absolutely love the detail and texture The Unfinished Stencil gives the background layered over my background paper from the Nature walk collection by 7Dots Studio and teamed with a little waybill/invoice background stamp from VLVS!

Lots of yummy Idea-ology of course!!

I used a few of my favourite things with this tag...

I started off with ne of my very favourite 7Dots Studio papers.. from the Wonderland collection Mushroom and Smoke as the base for my tag

It took a lot of strength for me to cut into this one
I then added in some background images using a few stamps from VivaLasVegaStamps!
Including this awesome Banksy image as my focal image.

August 12 tags of 2014.. inspired..

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all doing well..
Today I've got my version of Tim Holtz's - August 12 tags of 2014 to share with you..

I absolutely LOVE this months tag!

DSC00622

As soon as I saw this tag, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.. I've strayed a little this month, and used some stamps from Viva Las VegaStamps!, instead of my Tim Holtz ones. For me as soon as I saw this tag I knew that I had to use these stamps,

I've followed most of the background technique, though I've not used texture paste with my stencil, instead I've opted again to go a little different and just used  darker distress inks. ( I've used  walnut stain and pumice stone.) I've also added in some Remnant Rubs as well as my pieces of idea-ology.

So without to much more babbling.. Here is my tag.. I absolutely love it!!

The Stamps I've used - Businessman silhouette and Big Ben are just a match made in heaven.. well in my eyes anyway :)

and of course I can't go past sharing a few close ups of all the inky, stamped layered goodness!!
